People sometimes ask why a bead shop talks about faith. The honest answer is that Prickly Petal Boutique was never just about beads.
When I started this boutique, I wanted to build something that felt like an extension of who I actually am — not a curated version of myself for the internet, but the real thing. And the real thing includes my faith. It is not a marketing angle. It is the foundation everything else was built on.
There is something deeply meaningful about making things with your hands. Scripture talks again and again about craftsmanship, about beauty, about the gifts God gives each of us to create. When I am sitting at my table working on a new clay focal design, or choosing the next palette for a seasonal collection, I think about that. The beauty in this world was not an accident. It was intentional, and I believe we are meant to reflect a little of that intention back into the things we make.
That is why you will find cross focals and scripture beads woven through our collections, not as a separate category tucked away in a corner, but as a real part of who we are. Faith and Bloom is not just a collection name. It is a piece of the heart behind this whole boutique.
I also believe that running a small business with integrity is its own form of faith in action. Packing your order with care. Being honest about what we sell and how we make it. Showing up consistently, even on the hard days. These are small things, but they matter, and they are part of how I try to honor what I believe in through how I run Prickly Petal.
